How to add an availability calendar to your Squarespace site

Before you start

Set up the calendar in SingleCal first. Under Connected calendars, add the iCal links from Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com for the rental. Under Booking links, choose where guests book. Then publish the calendar.

Open Share & embed and click Copy embed code under Website embed. That is the code you paste into Squarespace.

Squarespace only renders iframes and JavaScript in code blocks on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans. If your site is on Basic, skip to the section on linking to your hosted page.

• The embed code contains your calendar's public ID only. It never includes your private iCal links.
• The code is an iframe plus a short script that fits the frame to the calendar. If a builder removes the script, the calendar still works at a fixed height of 680 pixels.
• Free calendars show a small SingleCal badge. Pro removes it and lets you use your brand color.

Add the calendar with a code block

These steps follow Squarespace's instructions for code blocks.

   Edit the page

   Open the page where guests should see availability and click Edit.

   Add a code block

   Hover over the section, click Add block or +, and choose Code.

   Set the mode

   Make sure the Mode menu is set to HTML and the Display Source toggle is off, so Squarespace renders the code instead of showing it as text.

   Paste your code

   Paste your SingleCal code into the text field, click outside the block, and save the page.

   Check the live page

   Open the published page, including on a phone. The editor may not show embedded scripts while you edit.

If you can't embed code

On the Basic plan, Squarespace doesn't render iframes in code blocks, so the embedded calendar won't appear.

You can still show availability by linking to your hosted SingleCal page. In SingleCal, open Share & embed and click Copy page link. In Squarespace, add a button or text link such as "Check availability" and paste the link. Guests see the same calendar on a SingleCal page, with buttons to book on your listings.
