Before you start
You will need a computer, because Google Calendar can only add a calendar from a link in a web browser. Once added, you can view it alongside your other calendars.
- Each Airbnb listing has its own calendar link, so repeat the steps for each listing.
- The link only goes one way: Google Calendar shows your Airbnb bookings, but cannot change them.
- Keep the link private. Anyone who has it can see which dates are booked.
Step 1: Copy your Airbnb calendar link
Airbnb's help describes these steps on a computer.
- 1
Open the listing calendar
In Airbnb hosting, select Calendar and choose the listing.
- 2
Open calendar connections
Select Availability, then under Connect calendars choose Connect to another website.
- 3
Copy the link
Copy the Airbnb calendar link. It ends in .ics.

Step 2: Add it to Google Calendar
Do this in Google Calendar in a web browser on your computer.
- 1
Open Other calendars
Open Google Calendar. On the left, next to Other calendars, select Add other calendars.
- 2
Choose From URL
Select From URL and paste your Airbnb calendar link.
- 3
Add the calendar
Select Add calendar. It appears on the left under Other calendars, where you can rename it, for example "Airbnb: Beach house".
Google does not say how often calendars added from a link refresh, so new Airbnb bookings may take a while to appear.
Seeing it on your phone
Google's help says you cannot add a calendar from a link in the Google Calendar app for Android, iPhone or iPad, which is why step 2 uses a computer.
After adding it, open the Google Calendar app with the same Google account and check the new calendar is listed and switched on in the app's settings.
Adding Vrbo and Booking.com too
The same method works for any calendar link. Copy the export link from Vrbo or Booking.com, then repeat step 2 for each one. Giving each calendar a clear name and colour makes it easy to see where every booking came from.
Our guide to finding your iCal links shows where each platform keeps its link.
What to expect
Adding your Airbnb calendar to Google Calendar is a convenient read-only view, not a way to manage bookings.
- Bookings appear as events. What each event says depends on what Airbnb includes in its export.
- It is not instant. Google does not publish how often it refreshes calendars added from a link.
- It does not block dates on Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com. To keep platforms in step, connect their calendar links to each other.
- Only you see it unless you share your Google calendar with someone.
If you want guests to see your availability
Google Calendar is built for you, not for guests. If you want guests to see when your rental is free, SingleCal combines your Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com links into one calendar of free and booked nights, which you can put on your website or share as a link. Guests see only which nights are unavailable, never booking details.
Google Calendar is for you. SingleCal is for guests.
Combine your Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com calendars into one calendar guests can check on your website or a link. Free for one rental.
